Kiara Training College has been in operation since June 2006. It is primarily a Health and Social Care and Skills for Life training institution. Kiara Training College UK is dedicated to the enhancement of Health and Social care workers and the industry to meet the demands of the 21st century. We seek to provide a holistic approach to the personal development plan of the Health and Social Care worker by providing various training as well as all levels of NVQ in Health and Social Care and Assessor’s and Internal Verifier’s Awards.

We also offer NVQs in Environment and Support Services, Childcare/Child minding and ITQ (Information Technology for Users), a wide range of short courses for continuous professional development of employees, Introduction to IT, HIV studies, Skills for Life (ESOL, Adult Numeracy and Literacy) Skills for Care induction for care workers and Introduction to mental health work. Special courses are provided for vulnerable people in our society including people with Learning Disabilities, Mental health issues, Drug and Alcohol abuse issues and ex-offenders.

The Head Offices of the College are located at Mitcham Town centre (in South London) which makes it very accessible. The ground floor of the building serves as offices while the first and second floors are used as classrooms.

The College is approved by Oxford Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts (OCR), Aberdeen Skills and Enterprise Training (ASET), CACHE, NCFE, Edexcel and University of Cambridge to run their courses.

The College is a member of Training London consortium and this has enabled it to deliver Learning and Skills Council (LSC) funded Train to Gain program. The College has now acquired a direct contract with the LSC to deliver Skills for Life and NVQs in Health and Social care. The College has initiated Beyond Boundaries - a project for Somali women that are not in education, employed or training. This project is run across all sections of London with a training site in East London, two training sites in North London, one training site in West London and the College caters for learners from South London.

Kiara Training College is in the process of establishing NVQ centres in Eastern Europe, West Africa and The Caribbean. Kiara Training College seeks to meet the needs of the local community by being strategically relevant to the current local Learning and Skills Council annual plan.
