Courses » NVQs
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are training qualifications designed to recognise your competence in the workplace. NVQs have a patent focus on providing the vocational knowledge and skills needed to meet national standards that are expected when working in various occupations. In fact, in some occupational areas a minimum of an NVQ qualification is essential to be offered employment.
To achieve an NVQ you will need to show that you can perform your job activities accurately and prove that you have the knowledge to understand your job activities and why you are performing them. You will work together with an NVQ Assessor whom we will assign to you to gather evidence to prove your competence. This evidence will be organised and collected into a portfolio which will ultimately be assessed.
BENEFITS OF DOING AN NVQ
• You can build your confidence in the way you perform your existing job
• You do not need to leave your place of work as you will be assessed on the job
• Upon successful completion you will get a nationally recognised certificate that proves your existing skills
• Can open doors to promotion, further study and much more
Below is a list of all the NVQ courses we offer. For more information on the NVQ of your interest, please run your mouse over the course title below and click.
You are able to do an NVQ through our College in one of two ways: under the Train to Gain service or privately.
