Description:
Applicants must have a teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience in the UK. In addition, applicants must possess strong motivational skills and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Key Duties:
- To deliver Skills For Life teaching resulting in learners' achievement of entry level, level 1 and 2 qualifications in Literacy and/or Numeracy
- To plan and assess learner progress using the Adult Core Curriculum
- To carry out inductions of learners, initial and diagnostic assessments, complete individual action plans and continually review progress
- To conduct and invigilate tests/exams
- Be able to manage own workload to meet set targets
- To develop systems and materials that support the management of learning including schemes of work, assessment schedules, pre-entry and interview processes, induction, course handbooks and tutorial systems
- To work collaboratively with colleagues, managers and external partners to enhance existing curriculum learning styles and develop new learning programmes
- To actively promote and implement the College's Equal Opportunities Policy.
