NVQ Assessors

We are always interested in receiving applications for the post of NVQ Assessors. Description:

Assessors should already hold a minimum of an A1 or D32 qualification along with a good understanding of the requirements of NVQ's. Ideally, applicants should have a relevant background to the NVQ in which they wish to assess and some good experience of assessing already under their belt.

Key Duties:

To assess the relevant NVQ programme according to occupational competency requirements as directed by awarding bodies
To actively participate in Quality Assurance and attend our College NVQ Standardisation Meetings
To monitor and evaluate learner progress throughout the NVQ programme
To work closely with the Assessment Centre and to ensure that appropriate information is collected, collated and made available when required with respect to quality delivery of training and assessment
To give information, advice and guidance to learners as necessary
To help recruit prospective NVQ candidates
To adhere strictly to the advice and guidance given by the designated Internal
Verifier and to support the said person in meeting the deadlines and requirements of the verification schedule
To be totally mobile and prepared to travel long distances to cover caseload if necessary
To actively promote and implement the College's Equal Opportunities Policy.
